Und how do ve feel about this?

I’ve been having this reoccurring dream. Well, when I say reoccurring, I’ve had it the last two nights. But this is a big deal for me, as I hardly ever remember my dreams, so it’s very rare I remember the same one two nights in a row. I’m very excited, as you can imagine

The Dream (I feel it deserves a capital ‘D’) goes as follows:

I’m sitting in a tent with several other people (no one I recognise, but they are friends in my dream). There is a wide opening to the tent and we are all looking out at a really bright star. The star is moving, and at first we think it is a shooting star, but then we realise it is moving closer to us. Then it becomes obvious that it is two white owls carrying a lantern between them. They then fly into the tent and I realise that I know the owls and I feel happy.

Riveting, I know. What does it mean? Probably nothing, I don’t deeply believe that dreams are great insights to the psyche or future. Now, back to trying to find out whether white owls mean death…

Doesn't sound like anything bad there. Sounds pretty cool. Maybe the white owls are going to lead you on a journey. Not that I can interpret my own dreams, much less anyone else's. Interesting though that I was watching a bio of Abraham Lincoln last night and one of his first days in the White House he looked in the mirror and saw a double image of himself and then, as he watched it, one of the images faded away. He turned to his wife and said he interpreted that to mean he would serve two terms but die before the end of his second term, which turned out to be true. So I don't know...not that I ever do. Dreams can be fun though, can't they?

I found out the following:

Owls: To see an owl in your dream, symbolizes wisdom, insight and virtue. The owl is also synonymous with death and darkness.

To hear the hoot of an owl, denotes disappointments and forewarns that death creeps closely in the wake of joy and health.

To see a dead owl, signifies a narrow escape from desperate illness and death. Death in this sense may also represent a symbolic death, as in an important transition in life.

Lantern: To see or buy a lantern in your dream, denotes unexpected wealth and fortunate dealings.

To dream that you are carrying a lantern, signifies that you generosity and kindness will attract many friends.

To dream that a lantern goes out, foretells that you will fail to rise to prestige.

To dream that you blow out a lantern, signifies that you will miss an opportunity of getting married.

Tent: To dream that you are in a tent, signifies of a refreshing, but temporary change in your daily routine. It may also mean instability and insecurity in your current situation.

To see a torn tent in your dream, denotes trouble for you.

To see a bunch of tents in your dream, signifies that you will go on a journey with unpleasant companions.

Enjoy :-)

Haha, thanks Mark.
Well the owls didn't hoot and were very much alive, so at least
I can rule out death.
I think all and all it sounds quite positive. :)

I think perhaps you are longing for something magical to happen in your life. Something transforming. Cool imagery to be certain.

Except I've never read Harry Potter. And I call myself an English teacher, shame on me.

Magical...I can't even think what I might define as being magical, but I like the idea.
