Pure Hate
I found the link to this article in a post on AgriChristian's Blog (a link to which you will find on Drone's Blog). I was obviously appalled by the article. I invite you to check it out yourself and see what you think. It is certainly a side of media we do not see daily, and for that we should be thankful.

That is the most disgusting thing I've read in awhile. Ick.
As I said Lisa, this article was written by someone who:
1) was BRAVE enough to trust their gut instinct that such decadence is in fact detestable;
2) has obviously read The bible, the most sacred and influencial book that forms the foundation of our culture
3) observes similarities in Hurricane Katrina with things he has observed in The Bible
Just because you think what someone does is detestable, and you think God will judge them for it, doesn't mean you hate them. Surely warning people about such things, if you have the knowledge, and explaining to the sinner the consequences of his action is actually LOVE. Especially when one has to count the cost of their own reputation amongst a hegemony of spiritual and philosophical darkness.
Yes, I tend to find the word 'evil' a little hateful.
Michelle: no, most Christians I know certainly do not think like this.
One in particular I know absolutely does not: a Bishop.
No, it wasn't. A Bishop who I know (very well) always states firmly that God does not cause natural disasters. I've heard him say this on a number of occasions, including after the Boxing Day Tsunami.
He's a Christian whose opinion I trust a lot, and who is held in very high regard.
